Where will the PAFC teams play Fall League?
The PAFC, for the inaugural year, will join other CYSA Division 1 clubs from the District VI.

  • U9 to U11 teams will play in a local league.

  • U12 and above have more options. These older teams will participate in either a District VI playing league or the Golden State Soccer League (GSSL) which is the CYSA-North District 3 and 4 playing league located in the bay area and hosts clubs such as Mustang, Pleasanton, DeAnza, etc. If playing in the GSSL half of the league games will be located in the bay area with the other half being played locally in the PYSL area (Granite Bay, Lincoln, Loomis, Rocklin, and Roseville).

Where will training and practices for the PAFC teams take place?
TBA...(somewhere in the PYSL area).

What are the Club colors for the PAFC?
Club colors are Navy and Cardinal.

When are tryouts for the PAFC?
Tryouts for the 2010-11 season have been set to start for the younger age groups (U9 through U14) on the weekend of 1/23/2010 and end on the weekend of 1/31/2010. More detailed information on the tryout calendar, venue, and process will be posted to this site in the near future.

Since there are not very many CYSA Division 1 tournaments remaining in the northern California area (specifically District VI) what tournaments are available to the PAFC?
By registering each PAFC team with US Club Soccer this will open up the opportunity for our teams to compete in local and travel Division 1 tournaments.

How many tournaments will be expected and how far will teams be expected to travel?
Much of the decision on how many tournaments to apply to and how far to travel will be determined on a team by team basis. However, the PAFC will be instituting measures to control the amount of play and amount of travel to a reasonable level based upon the level of the team.

Most of the Comp Clubs either prohibit or strongly recommend that their players not participate in High School Soccer or any other High School sport, will PAFC share the same policy?
PAFC believes strongly that all it's players should be able to have a full and complete childhood and this includes playing sports for their schools. Being able to be a soccer star in High School and benefit from all their training is a great side benefit of playing at PAFC. Additionally, this allows the young athletes to mature as leaders which should benfit them as they enter college and the workplace down the road. Creating strong and confident leadership skills combined with a belief in teamwork is what youth athletics is all about.
